Boston Celtics Draft Pick Jayson Tatum Addresses Media

Boston Celtics Draft Pick Jayson Tatum Addresses Media

Tatum will be sporting green, wearing a Boston Celtics jersey next season.

After plenty of trade speculation, the Phoenix Suns made a decision to hold onto the fourth overall pick in Thursday night's 2017 NBA Draft and used it to select Kansas freshman Josh Jackson.

Tatum, who averaged 16.8 points per game in his lone freshman season at Duke, can be the answer for a Celtics team that had to rely far too heavily on point guard Isaiah Thomas for quick scoring in hard situations.

Ainge fueled the Jackson-to-the-Celtics speculation by saying, "There is a good chance the player we take at No. 3 will be the exact player we would have taken at No. 1". "We like his size, length, rebounding, shooting, his character". They had some helping hands, namely those of Suns GM Ryan McDonough.

And health insurance , like auto insurance, should be mandatory, with basic coverage including maternity care and mental health. Another thing the Senate credits do is that they go down to more poor people, but the credits themselves will be smaller.

"He's a very driven guy", McDonough said. Did his new team, the Phoenix Suns, have something to do with it? I played with Frank for three years. A couple years ago, I talked about how we were thin on guys that could play a number of different positions, when you talk about, really, 2-3-4.

It made Tatum not the compromise, but the best fit for a team that's still in position be a big player in free agency this summer.

Despite only playing one year in college, Jackson believes his game is ready and will translate well to the National Basketball Association. "The process is what it is and we played by the rules, I guess. You can't make that prediction so you have to be ready to play each day". He was subsequently charged with property damage, according to the Associated Press.

Asked what kind of person he is, Jackson said, "I'm a humble guy". "For me and my mom for everything we've been through and even for my Dad and everybody back home in St. Louis and the Duke family and everyone is happy for me". That much remained clear with Boston's ugly exit in the East Finals against Cleveland. Jon thinks it gives the Celtics enough time to reset their assets for an additional pre-draft deal. "I think it's growing pains and going through college and other experiences".

With the run-rate climbing, David Miller departed shortly after along with the tourists' chances of clinching the series. In hindsight, it may have been wiser for the more experienced Morgan to have come in once Jonny Bairstow was dismissed.

Jackson addressed his initial refusal to work out for the Celts when they had the top pick and then the failure to set up a session once they had dropped to No. 3.

Friday, general manager Danny Ainge jokingly threw a hat on Tatum that landed sideways, drawing a nice laugh from the crowd of about 75 all dawning "Welcome to Boston" shirts, and the introduction was underway. "Obviously I did a few things wrong that I shouldn't have done, but, you know, it's been blown up a lot just because I am who I am".

"The more we learned about Josh, the more comfortable we got". Boston had also reportedly considered Kansas' Josh Jackson, but he never worked out for Boston. Pags (a Duke alumnus) has been around the Duke program quite a bit, and Danny texted me throughout the year from Jayson's games, so we're really thrilled to have him.

Jackson refused to come to Boston and, finally, when Ainge and Stevens were flying cross-country to Sacramento earlier in the week to see Jackson work out, Jackson's camp canceled the workout at the last minute. They could use some of their young talent to make a major win-now deal, but that is less probable that staying the course and relying on the continued improvement of a talent crop of players. "You see athleticism above the rim, but at the same time, he's a lockdown defender". The Philadelphia 76ers took Washington guard Markelle Fultz first overall. Can defend, shoot from outside, great kid and also has a good IQ for the game.
