United Kingdom government attempt stalled by Northern Ireland

As Britain entered a sixth day of political turmoil, May's team continued talks with Northern Ireland's Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) to secure their support in parliament after May failed to win a majority in Thursday's election.

Divisions over Europe helped sink the premierships of May's predecessors Margaret Thatcher, John Major and Cameron, and many of her lawmakers and party members favour a sharp break with the EU.

The DUP, Sinn Féin, the UUP, the SDLP and Alliance are to hold separate discussions with Mrs May.

"The UK Government is offering whatever support we can, working alongside the Irish government, as appropriate, honouring our respective commitments in the Belfast Agreement to serve the interests of the whole community in Northern Ireland", he said.

But Driscoll is skeptical, noting that many plants and animals in Egypt originally came from Turkey and the rest of the Near East. The spotted or blotched tabby pattern common in housecats today, does not exist in wildcats, which are all striped.

The announcement of any deal between the DUP and Conservatives will likely be delayed because of the tragic fire in a London tower block.

The 1998 Good Friday Agreement commits the United Kingdom and Irish Governments to demonstrate "rigorous impartiality" in their dealings with the different political traditions in Northern Ireland.

"We will oppose any deal which undermines the Good Friday agreement", Sinn Fein president, Gerry Adams, told reporters outside May's Downing Street residence, in reference to the 1998 peace deal that ended three decades of sectarian violence.

Mrs May needs the votes of the DUP's 10 MPs to prop up her minority administration as she hopes to steer government business, including crucial measures on Brexit, through the Commons.

May's foreign secretary Boris Johnson has insisted previously that such an outcome would be "perfectly ok". Without a majority for her Conservatives in the U.K.

Ministers have already said that the Queen's Speech may have to be set back from its scheduled date of next Monday June 19, because of the ongoing negotiations. She will seek to placate them.

Instead she finds herself faced with accusations that the deal she is trying to make with the DUP could leave the British government open to bias charges in Northern Ireland politics.

"Nigel Dodds says he won't commit to any deadline and talks will continue until DUP and Conservatives get right deal", BBC Northern Ireland correspondent Mark Davenport said in a tweet.
