Mueller Hires 13 Attorneys to Join Russia Probe

According to Comey, Trump was referring to the FBI's investigation into Mike Flynn, who was sacked himself as national security adviser months earlier for allegedly lying to White House officials about his post-election contacts with Russian operatives.

The memo sent Thursday asks for records related to foreign travel, contacts with Russian "officials, agents or nationals" and background investigations into the top Trump associates now targeted by Mueller's probe.

But then Rosenstein made the surprise move to appoint Robert Mueller as special counsel to lead the Russian Federation investigation, a development that people close to Sessions and Trump believe has worsened matters for everyone involved. She was appointed by former President Barack Obama to serve on the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board and worked as an assistant attorney general in the George W. Bush administration, according to WHO-TV.

But inside his office in recent days, the deputy attorney general has been grappling with what to do about the expanding probe, and seething over news accounts laying out some of its details, according to one source. Trump had viewed Sessions' recusal as unnecessary, even though Justice Department regulations made it nearly impossible to avoid.

Cosby's accuser says she was drugged, groped; 'I was frozen'
Constand and Johnson are the only Cosby accusers expected to testify during the two-week trial in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He also placed her hands on his genitals. "I did not have the courage at the time to tell my family", she said.

In a tweet, the President also accused the U.S deputy attorney general of pursuing a "witch hunt".

'I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! "Witch Hunt", the president wrote. His aides scrambled in the wake of that tweet to make clear the President was simply saying he had read the reports that he was under investigation but had not been told it separately.

It was unclear whether the president's comment confirming he was under investigation was based on direct knowledge or media reports that Mueller is examining whether the president obstructed justice by firing Comey. Comey's firing likely will be part of that probe.

Rosenstein told a closed session of Congress last month that he learned Comey would be dismissed one day before penning his memo.

In an interview with Sunday morning programme Telefoot , Griezmann said: "The CAS sanction has come in. With my sporting advisor, Eric Olhats , we chose to stay", he said .

Rosenstein is aware that he could become a witness, the network reported.

Rosenstein brought up the possibility of recusing himself during a meeting with the Justice Department's third-in-command - behind Sessions and Rosenstein - Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand, ABC News reported. But later, Trump said in an interview that he would have fired Comey "regardless" of Rosenstein's recommendation.

Trump's tweets come after the top lawyer for his transition team warned the organization's officials to preserve all records and other materials related to the Russian Federation probe.

"Americans should exercise caution before accepting as true any stories attributed to anonymous 'officials, ' particularly when they do not identify the country - let alone the branch of agency of government - with which the alleged sources supposedly are affiliated", Rosenstein's statement said.
