Hamas rejects IS claim of fatal stabbing of Israeli policewoman

The Islamic State group on Saturday claimed responsibility for an attack in Jerusalem for the first time saying it fatally stabbed an Israeli policewoman outside the walled Old City.

However, the Hamas and People's Front for the Liberation of Palestine militant groups quickly retorted that the three attackers who were killed were their members and accused IS of trying to undermine their battle.

"The attack was carried out by three Palestinians, two PFLP members and a Hamas member", said Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri. The Israel Police said in a statement that "the ongoing activity in the area is carried out in accordance with the decision to revoke permits to visit families immediately, after the investigation into the attack revealed that the three terrorists entered Israel without a permit".

An Israeli border policewoman and three Palestinians were killed in two simultaneous attacks last night.

Israeli police said on Friday all the assailants were from Palestinian cities in the occupied West Bank.

Trump considering 'terminating' Mueller, friend says
White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders dismissed Ruddy's statement, saying he does not speak for the president. If Mueller knew he was going to be named special counsel, it is unlikely he divulged that information to Trump.

He also said the attack proved the Palestinian Authority's policy of security coordination with Israel was wrong, calling it "a national crime". Police officer critically wounded died of her wounds. It identified two of the men as Bra'a Salah and Asama Atta, born in 1998, and the third as Adel Ankush, born in 1999.

The attack was the latest bloodshed in a wave of Palestinian attacks on civilians and soldiers that erupted in 2015.

In addition, dozens of soldiers surrounded and completely isolated Deir Abu Mashal village.

Police said the three were killed.

Israel had eased restrictions on the entry of Palestinians to Jerusalem and Israel from the West Bank for Ramadan. In a message to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, Netanyahu demands condemnation of the attack: "I expect the countries of the world to follow suit".

Investigators have not determined the objective of the list and they are still trying to determine its meaning. The FBI said it had recovered and was processing a cellphone, a computer and a camera.

A road leading to Damascus Gate full of stalls opened especially for Ramadan was closed off by police.

Al-Quds said the new U.S. ambassador to Israel is expected to visit an illegal Israeli settlement in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, which, if it does happen, will be the first for a United States diplomat to an Israeli settlement.

Large numbers of heavily armed security forces were patrolling throughout the Old City, an AFP reporter said. Two of those wounded were Palestinians from east Jerusalem. He was first reported to have been involved in the attack and killed but the police later said he, and four other Palestinians, was apparently shot by mistake and was still alive.

Israel occupied Arab east Jerusalem in the Six-Day War of 1967 and later annexed it in a move never recognised by the global community.

Judge declares mistrial in Cosby sexual-assault case
Kelly Johnson was the only other accuser allowed to testify at Cosby's trial; the prosecution had wanted to put on 13. The mistrial was a blow to the dozens of women who have said they were sexually assaulted by Cosby.
