Scotland: Kane captain, Rashford & Livermore both start

The 114th meeting of global football's oldest foes was a naturally tense affair, with the hosts looking to keep their dreams of reaching Russian Federation alive as Gareth Southgate's men attempted to tighten their grip on top spot.

Kane scored in the third minute of added time at the end of the game which had an incredible twist when Leigh Griffiths dispatched two late free-kicks past Joe Hart in the space of three minutes to give Scotland the lead. However, Kane slammed in at the far post deep into stoppage time to break the hearts of the Tartan Army.

A brilliant Leigh Griffiths free-kick double nearly wrecked Kane's day but he was able to pop up in the third minute of injury time to volley home an equaliser. I was just trying to do my best for the team.

When pressed on Hart's current status within the squad, though, Southgate went on the front foot to defend the England number one and praise his attitude around the camp. People have said there's a lack of leaders but I don't see that to be the case.

Kane also found himself in a promising position with 23 minutes on the clock but just could not shift his body quickly enough to convert after Adam Lallana wriggled to the byline and squeezed a ball across the face of the Scotland goal.

Trump accuses Comey of lying under oath in fiery news conference
The Russia investigations have consumed the White House and distracted the president and lawmakers from his governing agenda. Comey also said Trump told him during a one-on-one dinner on January 27 that he needed "loyalty".

With three World Cup qualifying points up for grabs this time around, it promises to be an even more exhilarating fixture between two countries who have enjoyed a storied rivalry.

It was over-zealous but highlighted Scotland's goal and aggression in a start that led Griffiths to get in an early shot, although Joe Hart, wearing a cap in the Glaswegian sun, comfortably dealt with it.

Griffiths felt Scotland had done themselves proud, despite not being able to hold on for what would have been a famous win.

"It's a game we should win, a game we were in total control of", the England boss told ITV.

Gareth Southgate's England football team are now the leaders of the six-team table with 13 points from five matches so far.

'100 per cent' willing to testify over Comey conversations
Under oath Thursday, Comey repeatedly called Trump a liar - Trump responded Friday by saying Comey was a liar. But it could leave the president in a perilously weak political position not yet five months into his term.

"We have to keep the ball better, because we were (breaking) in a three-on-one attack".

"On our day we can match anybody". That's what we have got to show - we have to be a team that are never beaten. England were 10 games unbeaten before Iceland knocked them out of Euro 2016.

"You can get moments in football, like today, where someone produces unbelievable quality and you find yourself level or behind in a game with the momentum against you and all of the crowd on a huge high".

"I have got to say it was like watching a heavyweight boxer versus a middleweight".

Steven Gerrard has claimed that Wayne Rooney still has an important role to play for the national team should they reach the 2018 World Cup. It's going to be well used tomorrow, we've got to use what we're good at. The questions around us centre on character, centre on the ability to withstand things that go against you and that is what we have to show.

Top intelligence officials deny receiving pressure from Trump
King: "Why are you not answering?" "The requirements of our oversight responsibilities and your agencies deserve it". I want to thank the Chairman for hosting this hearing on the 702 program and ways to ensure its effectiveness.
