NBA Finals Game 5 odds: Warriors open as big favorites over Cavaliers

The Golden State Warriors hold a 3-0 lead in the NBA Finals over the Cleveland Cavaliers and can finish the sweep for their second title in three seasons with a win in Game 4 on Friday night.

The Cavaliers, who a year ago made an unprecedented rally from a 3-1 Finals deficit to beat the Warriors, were physical right from the opening tip in what was easily the most emotionally-charged game of the series.

Wednesday's NBA Finals game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors proved one thing, and one thing only: No matter how well the Cavs play, and they played really well, they can not win this series, let alone a game.

Klay Thompson added 30 points and Stephen Curry had 26 for the Warriors, who are one win from their second title in three years. Kevin made shots. When we're making shots and we're playing with pace, we're a tough team to beat.

Merkel in Argentina to talk Trump, trade and climate change
We want to do it quickly, respecting the calendar. "Negotiating a free trade agreement is always a hard matter". Merkel said such compromises would have to be carefully negotiated and would likely be painful for both sides.

Irving (7-for-12), Kevin Love (6-for-8) and J.R. Smith (5-for-9) combined to shoot 18-for-29 from beyond the arc as Cleveland racked up an effective field goal percentage of 66.7 percent, tied for the third highest single-game mark in this postseason.

"I think the whole thing was how fun it would be, because of the style of play, because of the individual talents", Kerr said. Certainly, no team has ever overcome a 3-0 deficit in the National Basketball Association playoffs - has any professional team done so in the post-season besides the 2004 Boston Red Sox? "And just we obviously - we want 16 wins; it doesn't matter how we get there".

Despite the fact that Golden State blew a 3-1 series lead to these Cavaliers just one year ago, a 3-0 deficit seems completely insurmountable for Cleveland. They went on to win the championship, their first, in seven games. "I gave everything that I had, so at times throughout the game I was exhausted, but that's just because I was just playing as hard as I could". They've withstood every one of Cleveland's runs, and responded with their own. It was his 3-pointer with 45 seconds left - a "bomb in transition", said James, who waved a hand helplessly in defense - that proved to be the dagger, giving Golden State the 114-113 lead and likely sealing his MVP honors in these Finals.

3-pointers made by the Cavs in Game 4, a Finals record.

Warner says any Trump attempt to quash Russia probe would be 'appalling'
Trump fired Comey last month in a move that led many to suggest he was trying to undermine the ongoing investigation. House Armed Services committee lawmakers did not raise the issue when National Security Agency Director Adm.

Then he added another thought: "Oh yeah, we comin' back".

I've never been in this position being up in The Finals and trying to close it out. This is the biggest question, seeing how no team has ever done it in the history of the league. The Cavs could at least momentarily stall Golden State's momentum, and keep their visitors' locker room dry, by breaking up the Warriors' ideal playoffs with a win Friday.

"They're a great team, but I think we're a great team also".
