Parking fines cancelled for motorists ticketed after London terror attack

Transport for London has apologised after motorists caught up in the London Bridge attack were issued tickets.

At least six vehicles were handed a £130 fine within minutes of police lifting the cordon on yesterday morning.

Within five minutes of police telling motorists they could collect their vehicles, The Telegraph reported that a warden was seen ticketing vehicles.

It is understood there will be wardens in the area for the rest of the week but no cars that have been parked within the police cordon will be fined.

Once the cordon was lifted, some people found tickets on their cars and had been issued with parking fines.

Transport for London apologised for the fines, which can go up to £130, describing the move as an "insensitive mistake".
