Man United give up on Griezmann chase?

Man United give up on Griezmann chase?

Having seemed certain to move to Old Trafford only a couple of days ago, developments on Thursday left the French international's move from Atletico Madrid in severe doubt.

Ryan Giggs thinks Manchester United's nearly desperate need for a lethal goalscorer means a move for Antoine Griezmann is still a distinct possibility.

Griezmann was top of Manchester United's shopping list this summer but with Atletico's transfer ban upheld the player opted to reaffirm his loyalty by taking a new offer at the club.

It's a story that has dragged on for nearly two years with United in a much stronger position now though having tied the 26-year-old down to a new deal that keeps him at Old Trafford until 2019.

Sources told Sky Sports News HQ on Thursday that Manchester United are now prioritising an out-and-out striker rather than a move for Griezmann, whose 83 Atletico goals have come from a variety of forward positions.

"I'm not so sure if we've heard the end of that", he said.

"I'm going to make a decision this summer".

United however, appear to have changed their priorities.

Scientists dispute the 'tiny, tiny' impact of Paris deal
Raimondo said Friday that Trump's action will not deter Rhode Island from taking the steps needed to address climate change. He said MA will continue its commitment to exceed the emission reduction targets of the Paris compact.

"United need goals. All the teams I played in there were goals from everywhere".

The ruling means the Spanish giants can not register new players until January 2018, potentially stalling any deal for the French striker to join the Manchester club.

Ibrahimovic missed the last month of the season after suffering a knee ligament injury against Anderlecht in their Europa League quarterfinal.

Robson, who is still heavily involved at United as a club ambassador, believes Mourinho should follow Sir Alex Ferguson's example when it comes to finding his next 20-goal-a-season striker.
