Attacks at London Bridge, Borough Market confirmed as 'terrorist incidents'

"There was a van that crashed into the fences on London Bridge".

Within an hour, Prime Minster Theresa May made a declaration.

May's office said she would chair a meeting of the government's COBRA emergency committee on Sunday.

Terrorism struck at the heart of London, police said Sunday, after a vehicle veered off the road and mowed down pedestrians on London Bridge and gunshots rang out amid reports of knife attacks at nearby Borough Market.

It is not clear whether pedestrians may have gone over the side of the bridge in an attempt to avoid the van or after being hit by it, but police were reportedly searching the water of the Thames.

As emergency services rushed to respond, reports came in of multiple stabbings at Borough Market, a popular gourmet food market with restaurants that were open and busy on a Saturday night.

Earlier, Trump retweeted the Drudge Report when it referred to "fears of a new terror attack", although the nature of the incidents had not yet been confirmed by authorities.

President Donald Trump seized Nunes' subpoenas as an opportunity to tweet that the Obama administration had committed wrongdoing. Another senior committee aide said any subpoenas related to the unmasking issue would have been sent by committee Chairman Rep.

They were outside when they saw three attackers, lined up in a row about 50 feet away.

Ben said: "We saw people running away and then I saw a man in red with a large blade, at a guess 10 inches (25 centimetres) long, stabbing a man, about three times".

· "This is a fast moving investigation", May said.

"My thoughts are with everyone affected, and I'd like to thank the fearless men and women of our emergency services who were first on the scene and will be working throughout the night. Our thoughts are with those who are caught up in these awful events", May said.

There were also reports of a third incident, a stabbing in the Vauxhall area of London. Bus routes were being diverted and the neighbouring Southwark Bridge has also been shut.

According to the BBC, more than one person has died.

"He swerved right round me and then hit about five or six people". He hit about two people in front of me and then three behind.

Penguins coach Mike Sullivan considers it a benefit because banged-up and exhausted players get an extra 24 hours to rest. They did nothing of the sort, and before the game was three minutes old, Jake Guentzel gave the Penguins a 1-0 lead.

May has described the incidents as "potential acts of terrorism".

A man has claimed the three attackers shouted "This is for Allah!" while stabbing people. The attacks Saturday evening mark the third terrorist attack in the United Kingdom since March. "The Uber stopped, we asked people what was going on - people said there was shooting", said Yoann Belmore, 40, a French banker living in London.

After taking criticism online for trying to use the attack to advance a policy goal that is now under review in the courts, he sent a follow up tweet minutes later: "Whatever the United States can do to help out in London and the U".

"Just having had that conversation with him, you know, at 2:00pm today, and by 9:00pm, sitting in a restaurant and watching it unfold, brings home the reality of the world that we now live in."
Also on Twitter, Trump then quickly sought to leverage the incident to push for his court-blocked "travel ban" executive order which aims to prevent for citizens of seven majority-Muslim nations - again before any information had been confirmed regarding the nature of the incident or those involved, and despite the efforts of his own administration to reframe the ban as a "pause".

"We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety!" "We were eventually led out of the bar and some kind people working in a hotel let us come in to use the bathroom and to give us water".

"At this stage we are comfortable with the level of security being provided to us and will continue to monitor the situation".

The attacks come days ahead of a June 8 election and less than two weeks after a suicide bomber killed 22 people at a pop concert by USA singer Ariana Grande in Manchester in northern England.
