Trump may be mulling the unthinkable: letting a lawyer review his tweets

US President Donald Trump has accused media outlets of "fabricating" much of the news they publish about the White House and inventing anonymous sources on which the reports are ostensibly based.

"It is my opinion that numerous leaks coming out of the White House are fabricated lies made up by the #FakeNews media", he tweeted. He also said he thought "it is very possible" that the "fake news" mainstream media are making up their sources to harm his presidency.

The administration could have lawyers scrutinize Trump infamous social media posts as numerous investigations have been launched into White House officials, according to The Wall Street Journal. Gianforte won a day after he was charged with assaulting a reporter.

He also says there has been a lot of progress in the investigation, but much work remains to be done. Twelve people are now being held in custody after the atrocity at the Manchester Arena left 22 dead.

I guess we can put that one down to jet lag, as President Trump had just returned from an entire week and a half of talking to the always welcoming Saudis, the Israeli government and the pope.

With no scheduled events yesterday, Mr Trump was back on social media with a string of messages critical of the media.

"Over 100m. I don't have to go to the fake media", Trump told the Financial Times, in a discussion of how his online activity both worries and encourages corporate CEOs.

Separately, Trump touted his first foreign trip, saying it brought "big results".

MR DONALD TRUMP, in a message to his nearly 31 million Twitter followers. "#FakeNews is the enemy!" he tweeted at 8:45 a.m. Sunday.

The tweetstorm comes after the New York Times reported that Trump was told by his lawyers to limit his posts on Twitter, which they say can be used as evidence in any legal case against him. Trump tweeted. "V was poorly covered". "I said last week we could do with a little less drama".

The White House appeared to be playing around with that idea and others before Trump left town earlier this month.

Meanwhile, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee called for a review of whether Kushner properly disclosed contacts with Russian Federation to USA officials.
