Paris mayor condemns black festival, says it bars whites

The Mayor of Paris is demanding a black feminist festival in the French capital be banned, arguing that it prohibits white people.

The festival website states that it will be organised into separate areas, with 80 per cent of the festival to be reserved for black women only.

Black people of any gender will be allowed in another area, while a third area will be open to all.

Some French anti-racism organisations have condemned the festival.
