Manchester bomber was part of a network

A picture released by British authorities of Salman Abedi, the suspect behind a suicide bombing that ripped into young fans at an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena on May 22, 2017. The elder Abedi was arrested shortly after speaking to the AP, Salem said. He spent 25 years in Britain before returning to Libya in 2011 after Gadhafi was ousted and killed in the country's civil war.

British police identified Salman Abedi, a 22-year-old British citizen of Libyan descent, as the bomber Tuesday, but later confirmed they're investigating a "network" of people who may have aided in the attack.

"I spoke to [Salman Abedi] about five days ago. there was nothing wrong, everything was normal", Ramadan Abedi told Reuters, moments before he was arrested.

"If you leak information concerning an ongoing investigation, certainly in the hours after the event, this is something that could be damageable for the ongoing investigation", said a former Belgian intelligence chief, who also requested anonymity and expressed bemusement at the officials who publicly disclose details of an attack on an ally's soil.

Meanwhile in Britain, British police said they had arrested a seventh person following searches at an address in Nuneaton, central England.

May left for Brussels amid bitter complaints from British police and other security forces about leaks of sensitive material related to the investigation by US officials.

LOS ANGELES Ariana Grande has called off two London concerts and five in Europe after a suicide bomber killed 22 people at her performance in Manchester, England, the US pop singer's representatives said on Wednesday.

"They communicated to DHS as well as other United States government agencies their concern over leaks about their investigation into the incident in Manchester - information that's gotten into the press and public through U.S. sources when the UK was leading the investigation and wants to protect the information", Lapan said.

Police are rushing to uncover the network thought to have helped Abedi, and to retrace his steps prior to the attack.

A former British intelligence chief, who requested anonymity, said of US sources, "They don't understand the complexities of just blurting it out, and the reasons not to". Abrini visited Manchester in 2015. The victims range from an eight-year-old schoolgirl to parents who had come to pick up their children. The Briton blew himself up at a military base in Iraq in February.

"The alleged leaks coming out of government agencies are deeply troubling".

British officials said Abedi had been on the radar of the intelligence community before the massacre.

Motorcycles could also see some reduction in prices as the levy will come down by a percentage point to 28%. Besides, puja items, including those for havan , bindi and kumkum have been kept in the exempt category.

Reports in the US disclosing details of the investigation sparked outrage among British officials.

British officials have not commented on whether Abedi had links to IS or other extremist groups.

"We greatly value the important relationships we have with our trusted intelligence, law enforcement and security partners around the world", the National Counter Terrorism Policing office said in a statement on Wednesday evening.

Abedi died in the attack.

He added, "The cooperation between the United States and the United Kingdom on intelligence matters is crucial for security around the world, so we can't... this can't see both sides pulling away, but that is why the Prime Minister, the government, are right to make this an issue at the summit today, and it's why I have taken a step of speaking out too, and making my concerns known".

Lapan said the Homeland Security Department has shared some information about Abedi's travel with the British government, but declined to offer specifics.
