Michael Flynn tells pals he keeps in touch with Trump

In new revelations, Reuters reports that Flynn and other Trump campaign members were in contact with Kremlin officials on at least 18 occasions, by phone and email, during the last seven months of the 2016 presidential race.

According to CNN, Obama administration officials were concerned about conversations between Flynn and Kislyak that took place shortly after President Barack Obama slapped new sanctions on Russian Federation for meddling in the election.

Trump also boasted of what he saw as the "tremendous success" of his presidency.

Additionally, a report from McClatchy DC alleges that Flynn had told outgoing national security adviser Susan Rice to delay a military operation using Syrian Kurdish forces to retake Raqqa, a major Syrian city and one of the Islamic State's remaining bastions.

Celtics advance to Eastern Conference Finals with 115-105 win over Wizards
Kelly Olynyk was a vital contributor with 26 points off the bench as the Celtics set up a meeting with the Cleveland Cavaliers . These numbers are reminiscent of Russell Westbrook's horrifying fourth quarters against the Thunder, only with less scoring.

The White House was rocked by a further revelation Friday, when reports emerged that Trump said his sacking of FBI director James Comey has relieved "great pressure" on him caused by the Russian Federation investigation.

President Donald Trump reportedly hopes that if his former national security adviser Michael Flynn is cleared of any wrongdoing by an investigation, he will be able to return to the White House in some capacity.

On Wednesday, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) announced the appointment of former FBI Director, Robert Muller, to head the inquiry now known as the Russian investigation. Trump urged then-FBI Director James Comey Jr.in February to drop the bureau's investigation into Flynn and "let this go", according to a memo Comey wrote at the time.

In March, for example, the White House disclosed that Trump's son-in-law and White House senior adviser, Jared Kushner, met executives of Russian state development bank Vnesheconombank, or VEB, in December.

Flynn made the disclosure to White House counsel Don McGahn during a conversation, The Times said. Trump didn't name him NSA knowing that he was under investigation; even Flynn didn't know when he accepted the position. (It also probably didn't hurt that Flynn had been fired by Trump nemesis Obama.) If Trump defers to anyone, it's generals.

Sources told Reuters that one of the people Trump aides were in contact with was Viktor Medvedchuk, a Ukrainian oligarch and politician. At the time, Vice President-elect Mike Pence told CBS's "Face the Nation" that there was no contact between the Trump team and Russian officials during the election campaign.

The sources for the Yahoo News story did not clarify how Trump contacted Flynn, and the White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

FBI Probe Moves Into White House
Mr Comey had been running an inquiry into possible collusion between Russian Federation and Donald Trump's election campaign. In the Oval Office weeks later, Comey told associates, the president asked him to shut down an investigation into Flynn.
