NBC Cancels "Timeless", ABC Cancels Tim Allen Sitcom 'Last Man Standing'

NBC Cancels

The Tim Allen comedy "Last Man Standing" has been canceled by ABC after six seasons. It is now unclear if the same issue may have popped up again, only earlier, and led to the decision to cancel the series. Alas, that was not enough to save it; ABC and 20th Century Fox TV, the show's producing studio, were reportedly at odds over the license fee, so ABC let it go.

I don't know you hear women want to beat up everyone in the hospital room as it is, I can't imagine having the cameras in there. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers on the safety of Birdie coming into this world", she proudly said .

Manliness aside, EW notes that Last Man Standing has been "on the bubble" since it premiered in 2011, but its mediocre ratings finally caught up with it. At least for now, fans are mourning ABC's decision on Twitter. If anything, the show's average 8.1 million viewers per episode were probably too intimidating for ABC, so the network got scared.

Though Last Man Standing was cancelled, reruns can still be seen in syndication on Freeform and CMT. The show was also a blue-collar comedy, which followed the story of Mike Baxter, a director of marketing for an outdoor sporting goods store chain that was based in Denver.
