Tebow re-ups with ESPN to be analyst for SEC Network

Tebow re-ups with ESPN to be analyst for SEC Network

This will keep him aligned with the company's SEC Network, which uses Tebow as a football analyst.

Tebow has worked for ESPN since the 2014 BCS Championship Game.

ESPN has announced a multiyear agreement with Tim Tebow, who will continue as an analyst on the SEC Network.

The 2007 Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback is now playing minor league baseball in the New York Mets organization.

Street Fighter 5 Gameplay Video Shows New Character Ed In Action
Ed, the young commander, is the next character to join Street Fighter V as part of the Season 2 Character Pass. Then EventHubs noticed a few official images of the character on the Street Fighter website (now removed).

Tebow's insight and commentary also will be part of various other ESPN network shows and platforms.

ESPN's also been flexible with Tebow in the past, letting him try out for (and eventually make) the National Football League again while under contract to them in 2015.

Tebow now plays for the Mets' single-A team in Columbia, South Carolina, and the release specifically states the extension won't affect Tebow's professional baseball career.

"Over the last three years ESPN and the SEC Nation crew have become like family", Tebow said in the release.

Shaquille O'Neal featured on cover of 'NBA 2K18' special editions
Not surprisingly, National Basketball Association 2K18 will have a couple of special editions when it comes out this fall. Alongside the standard edition, there will also be a Legends Edition and a Gold Edition for the title.

"His unique experiences within the SEC and his broad national fan base are huge assets to SEC Nation and ESPN's larger CFP coverage", ESPN senior VP Stephanie Druley said in the news release.

Of course, things may change before the fall, and this may not be as much of a split.

The 2007 Heisman winner's extension at ESPN isn't a shock even as the news of it comes soon after ESPN laid off approximately 100 employees, including many people very recognizable to sports fans. Tebow has been doing a bit better recently, hitting.294 in his last 10 games, but his overall slash line of.242/.330/.363 isn't screaming to move him up from single-A.

But he says he relishes his role with ESPN.
