Facebook is for all: Mark Zuckerberg takes a jab at Snapchat

For those who have been living under a rock, Snapchat and its CEO Evan Spiegel are now facing the heat from angry Indians thanks to report which said that back in 2015, the Snapchat CEO dismissed India as a poor market. He claimed that during a meeting about the app's growth, Evan Spiegel said: "This app is only for rich people".

A group of hackers in India have published the personal details of what it claims are 1.7 million Snapchat users, after the company's CEO allegedly called the country "poor".

Unsurprisingly, the comments have gone down like a bag of stale rice across Spain and India, leading to the rise of the #BoycottSnapchat hashtag. In a statement, Snapchat denied that Spiegel said the offending words.

This young Celtics core, helmed by Thomas, has been eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in each of the past two seasons. The Heat beating the Cavs keeps them alive in the playoff race, though the Bulls also won to maintain the eighth and final spot.

Snapchat pictures might come and go in seconds, but the furor in India over reported comments by Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel is hanging on much longer. Many are deleting the Snapchat from their phones and giving the messaging app negative reviews.

Even as Snap has tried clearing the air, many Indians took to boycotting Snapchat as backlash against the CEO's alleged remarks.

Snap argued that the lawsuit filed against them had their personal trade secrets, that could possibly be used to bring damage to the company, but later Snapchat underacted the complaint stating that "it has nothing to hide".
