Day after ex-NFL star Hernandez's death, fight over his brain

He was in a single cell in a general population unit in the maximum-security state prison.

A prison van drives past the at the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts, U.S., where former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez was found dead in his jail cell April 19, 2017. "If there had been concerns, Hernandez would have been on mental health watch in a different part of the prison, the spokesperson said". Abatement ab initio means "from the beginning", Healy said, and it means that upon a person's death if they have not exhausted their legal appeals, their case reverts to its status at the beginning - it's as if the trial and conviction never happened. "Absolutely no chance he took his own life".

Hernandez's former agent, Brian Murphy, said on Twitter that he did not believe the athlete had killed himself.

Baez said there were no conversations or correspondence to his family or legal team that would have indicated that anything like this was possible. Michele Steele joined ESPN's Boston bureau four years ago, on the day Hernandez was taken into custody. "From everyone I had talked to who was close to him, they said he remained positive when he was in prison", Steele said. He was a relatively popular guy, obviously.

The independent candidate is expected to beat the National Front leader 67 percent to 33 percent. The election will begin on April 23, taking place across two rounds.

Why was Hernandez in prison?

A native of Bristol, Connecticut, he played college ball at the University of Florida, helping the team win a national championship under coach urban Meyer.

The report from WBZ also added one other note about the ongoing investigation the former tight end's death: Authorities believe that Hernandez may have smoked a synthetic marijuana known as K2 just hours before he died. In 2012, he signed a five-year, $40 million contract extension.

Though Hernandez was convicted in 2015 of murdering Odin L. Lloyd of Boston, Hernandez's appeal was not complete. He was convicted and sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. His death came less than a week after he was acquitted of murder charges in the shooting deaths of two men in Boston in 2012.

After the verdict was read, Hernandez turned to Jenkins and mouthed, "I love you".

The circumstances surrounding Hernandez's death are suspicious.

His death is being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police and the Department of Correction.

Suits: Salvatore Furtado (left) and Ernesto Abreu (right), the fathers of two men allegedly shot by Hernandez, are also suing his estate.
