O'Reilly is out at Fox News amid sexual harassment accusations

Star cable news anchor Bill O'Reilly will not be resuming his position as host of Fox News' "The O'Reilly Factor", announced 21st Century Fox on Wednesday.

O'Reilly and co-author Martin Dugard are due to release another book in the "Killing" series in September, and a spokeswoman for publisher Henry Holt and Co. said that plans had not changed.

Yet, that wasn't enough to save his job; the company said Wednesday that 21st Century Fox and O'Reilly "agreed" that he wouldn't return. The Murdochs have not yet announced a decision regarding O'Reilly's future, but one well-placed source told CNNMoney on Tuesday that representatives for Fox and O'Reilly are discussing the possibility of an exit, and the Murdoch-owned Wall Street Journal has reported that they are preparing to cut ties.

The news was discussed by Howard Kurtz, Fox's media analyst, during a segment on the network's 6 p.m. program "Special Report".

O'Reilly attributed the "unfounded claims" to his celebrity status stating that such allegations are "the unfortunate reality many of us in the public ... must live with today".

AmTrust Financial Services Inc (AFSI) Sees Large Increase in Short Interest
The insurance provider reported $0.38 EPS for the quarter, missing analysts' consensus estimates of $0.74 by $0.36. Compass Point assumed coverage on shares of Discover Financial Services in a research note on Friday, January 6th.

The news was also addressed during O'Reilly's old 8 p.m. hour, which on-screen graphics called "The Factor".

But since reports of the alleged payoffs surfaced, dozens of advertisers, including BMW, have pulled out of the show.

"It is the end of an era here at the Fox News Channel", she said.

In the midst of backlash over the allegations, O'Reilly left for a few weeks of vacation, which he said had been scheduled for months. At the time, O'Reilly said he planned to return to the program on April 24. The organization is simply highlighting the fact that there's quite a lineup of events that led up to this moment, when O'Reilly has been ousted from the air.

Earlier this month, The New York Times published an investigation that found that O'Reilly and Fox News had paid out $13 million to five women to settle sexual-harassment claims they had brought against him.

The success of that World Cup spawned the birth of Major League Soccer, which has grown to 22 teams two decades later. The United States , Mexico and Canada are joining together and will enter a bid to host the 2026 World Cup.

Fox is preparing to end its relationship with the host of "The O'Reilly Factor" following a wave of sexual harassment allegations, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Bill O'Reilly is fighting back!

O'Reilly's exit, which was first reported by NY magazine, follows that of former Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes, who was forced to resign in July after being accused of sexual misconduct by a number of women, including former anchor Gretchen Carlson. Ailes has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.

"I'm not going away", said Lisa Bloom, attorney for the latest accuser and another woman who alleges her career stalled because she spurned O'Reilly's advances.
