Fresno shooting spree suspect "callous", laughed recounting killings, chief says

Fresno shooting spree suspect

Chief Dyer said when the suspect realized he was wanted in the murder of Williams, he "didn't want to go down as someone who just shot a security guard" but wanted to shoot as many white people as possible before his arrest.

After Kori Ali Muhammad learned that he was wanted in the death of a security guard last week, he chose to take out as many other white men as possible before he was caught, Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said.

Muhammad, who was arrested after firing 16 shots within a minute, told officers that he hated white people, according to Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer.

When he learned he was wanted in the security guard killing, Muhammad chose to take out as many other white men as possible before he was caught, Dyer said. The suspect, Kori Ali.

Dyer said Muhammad admitted to shooting the three men Tuesday, targeting them because they were white and shooting them as if he was on a game hunt.

Police say the 39-year-old, who is black, singled out white victims and killed them at random.

"He wouldn't want this to turn into any type of hateful reaction from anybody in the public", Valencia said. So he vowed to eliminate as many white men as he could.

Fresno police chief Jerry Dyer said: 'These individuals who were chosen today did not do anything to deserve what they got. Detectives believe it was picked up by a Hispanic man near the shooting scene.

But you don't beat New Zealand by having a massive stack count of tackles - you beat them by forcing them to tackle. Commenting on those joining him for the tour, Warburton said: 'I only saw the squad five minutes ago.

Dyer says Muhammad isn't a terrorist but is a racist and described the slayings as a hate crime.

Prosecutors say Muhammad is expected to be charged with four counts of murder in the three killings Tuesday and in the slaying last week of a motel security guard.

It was not immediately clear why security got involved, but the woman started arguing with Carl Williams, a 25-year-old unarmed security guard, police said. Williams was a manager at a Toys R' Us who was at his second job when Muhammad shot and killed him at a Motel 6.

As Williams lay mortally wounded, Muhammad ran to a nearby 7-Eleven and climbed on top of the roof.

Muhammad told police that while he is a Muslim, he practices voodoo rituals.

Having run out of ammunition, Muhammad gave himself up to the first officer he saw.

Dyer said Muhammad showed no remorse in interviews and laughed many times.

And I'm proud to be the Republican going to the run-off. "The only way you fight that is. fire up the Republican base". The former Georgia secretary of state will face Democrat Jon Ossoff in a runoff for the 6th Congressional District.

"He does not like white people, and he has anti-government sentiments", the chief said, adding that the Federal Bureau of Investigation had been alerted.

On Tuesday, police said, he acted on that hatred. Muhammad practiced polytheism as an adult and frequented the Brass Unicorn in the Tower District where he bought a lot of the religious figures, or orishas, we saw in his bedroom and a shrine he built outside.

It wasn't until Tuesday, when Muhammad saw on the local news that he was a suspect in the murder of the guard, that Muhammad made a decision to kill more.

"And that's what he set out to do".

Shortly before 11 a.m., he approached two men sitting in a PG&E truck on a tree-lined street in downtown Fresno. Muhammad grew up as Cory Taylor- his father said he was not necessarily book smart, but he was a very intelligent kid.

Zackary Randalls, a 34-year-old father of two young children, was killed.

Dyer said investigators allowed Muhammad to speak on the phone to his mother, who was crying. After the victim fell to the ground on his back, "Kori Muhammad then stood over him and fired two more rounds into him while he was lying on the ground". Finally, he fired in the direction of a bus stop where he spotted three white males.

Mark Greer, 62, said Jackson tripped over a curb in the parking lot, falling down when he was shot. Police said he fired twice at that victim.
