Journey reflects on Rock Hall induction and seeing Steve Perry again

He recalled that in 1995 he said he told Suge Knight to sign Tupac to Death Row after he got out of jail. Twenty-one years ago in Las Vegas, Tupac Shakur was taken from all of us. Also, he shared a story about parasailing with Tupac while Suge Knight piloted the boat that was sweet, hysterical and freaky, and you'll just have to watch the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony on April 29 on HBO to hear about it. Pac was looking out for us even after he was gone. "Hip hop needs our own Hall of Fame". But it was when they added the iconic voice of Steve Perry, that their careers took off. Perry and Journey went their separate ways in the late 80's and again in the mid-90's after a brief reunion. On Friday night (April 7), this came to an end. He seen me as an actor. I have high regard for him. Sharks, or octopus or whatever, I'm like, man. He follows Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five, Run-D.M.C., the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and N.W.A. Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg, YG, Treach and T.I. all performed a stellar medley to honor the late rapper who was murdered in 1996.

I realized that Pac was taught how to love at a very early age and through his music he shared the love with all of us and that's ultimately why we're here tonight. While his band, Chic, had been nominated for eleven years without success before it was made a decision to bring in Rodgers in the "Special Achievement" category, there was little reason (except, maybe, show length) to not have artists take the stage for one or two songs from either the Chic or Rodgers songwriting/production catalog with David Bowie, Duran Duran, Sister Sledge and others. Here is Pineda singing their signature song, "Don't Stop Believin". And while they won't be coming through Northeast Ohio on this current tour, they do want fans to know there's a lot more to come. Welcome to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Schon calls Cleveland "a rock town".

France not responsible for 1942 round-up of Jews, says Le Pen
The mass arrest was ordered by Germany and a majority of the Jews were deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland.

Tupac is the first solo rapper to be inducted into the Rock Hall. We shared a whole lot in common.

The evening opened with a tribute to the late Chuck Berry, including a performance of Roll Over Beethoven by new members the Electric Light Orchestra, and went on to induct ELO, Joan Baez, Yes, Tupac Shakur, Journey, Nile Rodgers and Pearl Jam.

Neil Gorsuch confirmed by Senate as Supreme Court justice
Many Democrats were still tight over Garland being passed over, as they should be, and noted that Gorsuch was super conservative. Gorsuch is a conservative judge who will tip the Supreme Court to the conservative side, five justices to four.

Out of the six inductees at this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Tupac Shakur, like N.W.A. last year, was the sole act who encompassed the hip-hop genre.

In the meantime, here are some photos from Journey's concert in Dayton.
