Andrew Napolitano reportedly pulled from Fox News over debunked wiretapping claims

Spicer quoted Napolitano's report, "three intelligence sources informed Fox News President Obama went outside the chain of command, he didn't use the NSA, CIA, FBI and he didn't use the department of justice".

Napolitano's report last week on Fox & Friends, saying he had three intelligence sources who said Obama went "outside the chain of command" to watch Trump, provoked an worldwide incident.

Napolitano's TV segments were used by the White House to give the president a boost, but the explosive claims were strongly denied by American and British authorities.

But Napolitano said on one program that "Fox News has spoken to intelligence community members who believe that surveillance did occur, that it was done by British intelligence".

Napolitano hasn't been on Fox since the segments sparked an global incident last Thursday. He worked as a television analyst for several years before starting his own blog on terrorism and intelligence. Napolitano was conspicuously missing from the network's coverage of the confirmation hearings on Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch - an event in which he typically would have played a significant role.

But Napolitano was M.I.A. Napolitano has stayed off social media since the controversy started, with no tweets since last Thursday.
