HTC unveils limited-edition U Ultra with sapphire display

HTC Taiwan said last week that it would share an "unexpected surprise" on March 20, and like the company's recent launches, the reveal itself was rather underwhelming. The U Ultra just went on sale all of a week ago, yet HTC is going to unveil another flagship? Much to our surprise, and an unwelcoming one, we got another U Ultra phone that does not feature a Snapdragon 835 but retains the same hardware as the one present in the previous version.

HTC promised to adorn the U Ultra with a Sapphire glass, specifically for the top end 128GB model.

The average is taken over a specific period of time, like 10 days, 20 minutes, 30 weeks, or any time period the trader chooses. According to Thomson Reuters , sell-side analysts are forecasting a harmony target price of $58.48 on company shares.

It also comes in the same color options - blue, black, white, and pink - so the only different is the glass panel on the front is sapphire, not Gorilla Glass, and you get 128GB of internal storage instead of 64GB.

The U Ultra limited edition is available for pre-order in Taiwan at a price of roughly around $946, which is around $200 more than the regular U Ultra.

HTC hasn't shared additional details, but it is likely the limited edition variant of the U Ultra is exclusive to Taiwan. This makes today's HTC announcement even less exciting for everyone outside of the company's home country.
